Carney Malone is the name I use for photographic purposes. I am a very private individual. Yes, I am a male.
Herbert is important more for the physical environment he creates on Dune and the space faring society he creates with the Bene Gesserit, Space Guild, Empire, Sardaukar and Fremen than with his plots which tend to be boring.

The fact is-this book was issued in 1990.and all writers presented there were united by such notion as HUMANISM and the CRITICS OF CAPITALISM.So F.hERBERT AND HIS novel The Dune was typical commercial literature-no more...

I haven't read Simak's "Time is the Simplest thing in Years."
I recall it had two messages for me. The first was tolerance as you correctly alluded to. The second was coping with the end of dreams. The realization that traveling to the stars was not something that was going to happen.
I'm surprised the list of 200 greatest American writers didn't include Isaac Asimov or Frank Herbert who are regarded by American SF fans as the greatest.
I also like two more obscure writers: R.A. Lafferty and Cordwainer Smith. Have you read either of them?
Where may I obtain the list of the "200 Greatest American Writers" that you refer to?

I guess Saimaks novel The Time is a Simpliest Thing is not about a Pink Creature in the mind of Shepard Blane. The first of all this is a stoty about a tolerance in our modern society.Espessially here in Rusia.25 years ago we almost had not any troubles with tolerance.A Communist order stricly prohibited any attemt of agression between a different nations. But now we have got a chaos.Thats why this Saimaks novel so actual here. The eternal novel of the genious...

The time is the Simpliest thing "was my first Saimaks book. And it was like a love at first sight-once and forever.By the way,in Russia in 1990 encyclopedia was issued-"200 greatest American writers" beginning from George Washington to modern writers. Most interesting thing is there are only 3 SF writers were included in that book-Ray Brudbury Clifford Saimak and Robert Shekley as well as.I guess Carney,we both have got a good taste to modern literature!

I am absolutely agreed with you in undestanding of light and shadow.Flash useless.

I prefer to use the term "muted" colors.
The light is natural and meant to be subdued.
I work with natural light which often leads to shadows.
If I wanted to blast the model with a studio flash or strobe I could have since I own these lights but I didn't wish to do so.
These lights usually lead to sterile and antiseptic images.
Thank you for your comments.

The colours are somewhat dirty. The light is not so good here. Regards.
