Book Description
Cats takes on an almost three-dimensional form to present moments
"stolen" by expert photographers from the everyday lives
of these beloved animals. Sinuous and agile, playful, intelligent,
and pitiless, cats of all stripes come alive in these splendid color
photographs. Here we see cats as we think we know them, but there
are plenty of surprises as well. Accompanied by the writings of
leading zoologists and journalists, these images remind us that
our cuddly companions have not lost all the instincts of their cousins
in the wild, namely lions, tigers, and leopards. This book is a
pleasure to leaf through and a reward to study. Its creative photographic
portrayal of cats will fascinate readers of all ages, while young
readers will especially enjoy the feel of the book's "cube
format," chock-full of images that they will treasure for years
to come.
